Fear Of Crowds

Do you have a fear of crowds? Or being around a lot of people? If you are a highly sensitive person you are more likely to be affected by the energy of other people especially when there are a lot of people in one place.

Here is a tapping script that can help if you suffer with this fear.

  • Even though I have this fear of crowds, I’m ok
  • Even though I have this fear of being around a lot of people, I accept myself anyway
  • Even though I’m so scared in a crowd, I’m ok

EB: I have this fear of crowds
SE: I hate being surrounded by lots of people
UE: I feel so overwhelmed when I’m in a crowd
UN: I feel so scared when I’m surrounded by people
CH: I feel like everyone is in my space
CB: I feel really anxious in a crowd
UA: I can’t breathe when I’m in a squashed amongst lots of people
TH: I feel like I’m lost when I’m in a crowd

Crowd

EB: My heart rate shoots up when I’m in a crowd
SE: I start to feel sick
UE: My stomach churns when I’m with lots of people
UN: It feels like there is no room for me in a crowd
CH: I hate feeling overwhelmed by lots of people
CB: My palms sweat and I get really anxious in a crowd
UA: I feel so lost and scared
TH: I just want to run away if there are lots of people

EB: I hate having this fear of crowds
SE: It restricts my life
UE: I can’t even go shopping
UN: Or to the cinema
CH: I hate feeling this way about crowds
CB: I wish I was ok in crowds
UA: I hate having this restriction in my life
TH: I wish crowds didn’t bother me

What symptoms do you feel?

Use those words to really tune in to how it feels for you.  Keep tapping on all the different aspects until your fear is at a zero. Try imagining being in a crowd and check your body has no response. If it does then tap some more on whatever comes up. Test it for real only once you can get no response from detailed imagining!

Keep tapping

Tapping World Summit 2013

Last Chance (Learn About EFT for Free)

I just wanted to send two “last chance” reminders that I highly recommend taking action on…

First off, the 5th annual, 2013 Tapping World Summit starts in just 3 days, which means that this is your last chance to register for this 100% free on-line event before it starts.

I posted what some of the attendees from the previous 4 summits had to say about this event on the bottom of this email, so that you can see for yourself just how life-changing this event really is…

To register for this event right now just go here:

http://thetappingsolution.com/cmd.php?Clk=4961443

Secondly, there is a phenomenal upgrade option for the 2013 Tapping World Summit,
where you can own the recordings for the event in MP3 or CD format and also get the
over 200 page workbook, the transcripts for the presentations and a number of
powerful bonuses…

And this year, since there was such amazing feedback on the pre-event video series which featured Louise Hay, Dr. Mark Hyman, and Nick Ortner…

The producers of the event decided to make the three pre-event videos, along with
the remaining 10 videos in the Tapping World Summit Video Series, available as a special pre-event bonus for all those who upgrade before the event starts on February 4th.

So this is a last chance reminder that if you want to own the entire 14 videos in the series, which include over 8 hours of streaming or downloadable video with experts Nick Ortner, Louise Hay, Dr. Mark Hyman, Kris Carr, Jack Canfield, Bob Proctor, Bruce Lipton, Cheryl Richardson, Joe Vitale, Dr. Joseph Mercola, Carol Look, Patricia Carrington, Carol Tuttle and Dawson Church, you need to make sure to take action right away.

The best part of this is that since there’s a 90-day money-back guarantee there is zero risk involved in upgrading today.

And if you do decide to ask for a refund (unlikely that you’ll want to once you listen to the information) then you’ll still get to keep the amazing video and audio bonuses.

To get more details on the event, the upgrade bonuses and the limited time pre-event video bonuses, just click on the link below:

http://thetappingsolution.com/cmd.php?Clk=4961443

(You’ll need to register first for the online live event, if you haven’t already, to see the video bonuses and the upgrade option)

I hope you decide to take advantage of the limited time video bonuses and upgrade before the event starts.

The Tapping World Summit upgrade options alone are ridiculous values (the platinum upgrade comes with 23 CD’s, a 200 page workbook, transcripts, and 10 audio bonuses) and when you add on these great video bonuses, upgrading becomes a no brainer…

http://thetappingsolution.com/cmd.php?Clk=4961443

Just so you know, over 210,000 new people have already registered for this massive online event in the last  2 weeks!

EFT is a one-of-a-kind technique that creates life-altering results for those who use it…

Enjoy the event.  I look forward to seeing you there! 🙂

Louise Woods

P.S. – Here is some of the feedback from previous year’s summits, just to give you an idea of what people think about this event…

“What a wonderful ten days!  I need to tap on withdrawals from missing the interviews.
“Jessica was a fabulous interviewer, asking just what I wanted to know at the right time.” -Suzanne Wright – Oregon,USA

“I hope you guys can somehow hear the thunderous applause that is surely circling the
world for you right now.  This was a DYNAMITE event, and this grand finale with Jessica today was just fantastic. You guys are the absolute best, you have given phenomenal gifts here with each presentation, and may you receive a thousand
blessings in return. EFT has never come alive for me the way you’ve made it do in these last ten days. I am very, very grateful, and yes, I will keep tapping and will tell you what lights come on, what doors open in the coming months.”
~With much love, Natasha Suter – Ithaca, New York

“This trip has been amazing. I am so thankful that you gave me the opportunity to be a part of this, and I will continue to tap – and maybe take an education in EFT later on.  Fantastic.  A few weeks ago I tapped on hip pain, and it disappeared within a couple of minutes!!

“Every session have been useful to me, and I will look more into it (I have written it all down) when I finish my education in September. Jessica’s 40 day tapping challenge will be done. Her “mystery bonus audio” was a special experience.  It helped me see a lot of experiences/feelings to tap on.” ~ Merete – Bodo, Norway

“OMG! That summit was amazing! I just wanted to say thank you, thank you! I knew
about EFT from when I was in LA but I now know so much more and I had ah-ha moments almost everyday! especially the one series about Highly Sensitive People – which I found out I am and have been beating myself up about it forever!  Now I know how to tap for it and realize its a blessing to be so connected to my feelings and intuition!

“I loved, loved, loved the whole series! you are so kind to put all of this information out
there and for free- I know this is huge for me and for the world! I can sense huge changes a-brewing! I kinda miss it already! Tell Jessica I am doing the 40 day challenge… this is exciting…who knows where I will be in 40 days!
Thank you again!”~ Love, Christine en route to New York City, NY USA

How to Get Over the Stress of Health Anxiety

Guest Blog

How to Get Over the Stress of Health Anxiety

Google is a valuable tool, but Google has also caused the development of a serious problem for those that have been living with anxiety symptoms: severe health anxiety.

Health anxiety has always been a thing. It’s something that affects many people living with anxiety or panic attacks (especially panic attacks), because the symptoms of anxiety can feel so severe that many people struggle to believe that they’re anxiety related.

But what’s made it worse is the ability to Google symptoms. The biggest problem is not just hypochondria in the traditional sense – people aren’t necessarily looking up diseases and psychosomatically causing the symptoms of those diseases. Rather, severe anxiety can cause physical symptoms that genuinely resemble some very serious health problems, the most common being:

  • MS
  • Brain Tumors
  • Heart Failure/Attack

It’s possible that symptoms mimic other diseases as well, like lime disease or some type of tumor. But those three health issues have nearly identical symptoms to anxiety, and so many people that suffer from anxiety eventually convince themselves that they have one of these disorders.

That can create some severe health anxiety, and severe health anxiety leads to even more physical symptoms. It’s not uncommon to find those living with health anxiety spending most of every day thinking about their health.

Stopping the Cycle of Health Anxiety

Health anxiety can be very hard to turn off. Seeing your doctor is step one. Remember, your doctor has seen people with MS, brain tumors, and heart attacks. If they’re worried, they’ll order tests. If they’re not worried, they won’t.

Trust your doctor. If they don’t order a CT scan, chances are it’s because they’ve seen people with MS and brain tumors and your issues seem like anxiety. It’s easy to tell yourself “they didn’t check, so it’s still there” but doctors are trained to look for medically serious issues, and if they’re not worried, you shouldn’t be either.

Your next steps are to try each of the following:

  • Start Exercising – This is incredibly important. Exercise is a profound stress reduction tool, and it will give you the opportunity to focus on your health more so that you will worry about it less in the future. Exercising releases endorphins which reduce anxiety, and the more you are dedicated to your health, the less you’ll be bothered with health stress.
  • Participate in Anxiety Forums – There are several valuable anxiety forums filled with people that dealt with your exact same thoughts. Participating in those forums can be a lifesaver, as many of them will share how their stories are exactly like yours and how they were finally able to accept that they have anxiety.
  • Learn About Health Anxiety – Did you know that you can suffer from severe anxiety physical symptoms even when know anxiety is present? One of the main contributors to health anxiety is how hard it is to believe that the frightening symptoms you experience are caused by anxiety.

Anxiety treatments need to focus on two things: Coming to the realization that it’s highly unlikely that you have any health problem, and realizing that you need to stop concerning yourself with your health.

The latter is another issues that those with health anxiety need to realize: You probably don’t have MS, or a brain tumor, or a serious heart condition (especially if the doctor has ruled them out). But you could get them tomorrow, because anyone can get them at any time. The question you need to ask yourself is: if tomorrow you did get a serious health problem, do you want to look back at your past and realize that you spent all your time worrying about your health?

Your goal is to live a happy life. Those with health anxiety need to realize that every day spent obsessing over their health is a day wasted in the event they did have a health problem. As long as you’re exercising, eating healthy, and going to the doctor for regular checkups, you’re doing everything you can. Learn to spend the rest of your time in a way that makes you happy.

Going With The Flow

Sometimes we plan things and they don’t turn out how we expect them to. We can feel disappointed, sad, resentful or even guilty. If you are someone who finds it hard to deal with situations when things don’t go to plan then some tapping can help. We can’t always control things and even with the best will in the world the unexpected sometimes happens.

To allow yourself to be more flexible and more able to “go with the flow”, enables you to appreciate the present moment and not have to feel disappointed etc when things don’t go exactly to plan.

Try tapping the following few setup statements and see what happens:

  • Even though I like to organise and plan everything and feel disappointed if it doesn’t work out, I’m open to the possibility of going with the flow
  • Even though I feel sad/guilty/resentful {use your exact words} if my plans go awry, I choose to be flexible and just go with it instead
  • Even though I hate it when things don’t go to plan, I deeply and completely accept myself anyway
  • Even though I feel unsafe if my plans change unexpectedly, I choose to trust I’ll be ok

Remember to use your words where appropriate.  Keep tapping on all the aspects that pop up when you work on this issue. Be persistent until you feel a shift.

I hope this has been useful.

Dealing with Shock

“Shock: a sudden or violent disturbance of the mind, emotions, or sensibilities”

When life throws us difficult circumstances to deal with we often feel shock. It could be hearing bad news such as a loved one receiving a diagnosis of illness or passing away. It could an accident or traumatic event of some kind (e.g. fire or flood). The shock could be from a relationship ending or losing a job. It could also be something that someone said or the way someone behaved that shocked us.

Shock can make us feel weak, faint and raise our pulse. We may become absorbed in what happened and unable to think about anything else. We may feel numb, anxious or keep replaying the event over in our mind.

So what to do? At the first opportunity you have, get tapping! You don’t need to do the setup statement when you are right there in the feelings. Just start tapping focusing on what you are feeling.

Tapping really helps us release our emotions and deal with them, soothing our energy system which will also be feeling the shock.

Tap as often as you can, especially when you are recalling the shocking event or thinking about the consequences.  Keep tapping until the shock has dissipated or subsided. Tap on all the aspects of what has happened, e.g. hearing the news, thinking about the consequences, all of the emotions involved, the after effects and any previous shocks etc.

If the shock is very bad then it is probably best to seek the help of a practitioner who will be able to guide you through the process of dealing with all the associated feelings. Always seek the advice of a medical practitioner if your symptoms are severe.

EFT is a great tool to learn to help us in times of need. Adding it to your life skills is one way you can help yourself to stay on an even keel, even after a shock.

Find Your Inner Sanctuary

Where do you go when you want to get away from it all?

Where do you escape to when life gets too much?

Do you need to go to a physical place to get that sense of peace and quiet?

I used to love going to a particular beach and sit staring out at sea to contemplate life and think, when I needed that space. I no longer live right by the sea, so I have a particular spot in a park that I go to which is right by a river and some wonderful trees. For me whenever I feel I want to stop the world I feel I need to connect with nature. I feel being in nature I connect to my true self and can allow my thoughts to settle and gain some clarity and inner peace.

But we can also create this kind of space within us. We can create our own inner sanctuary where we can go when we need to escape at any time. It might be based on an actual place we have been or seen. Or we can be completely creative and create a space completely from our imagination.

What does the landscape of your inner sanctuary look like? Is it a beach, a lake, a river, a mountain or a desert? Or is it a city scene? Are there any other people around or you are alone? Are there birds or animals there?

You don’t even have to limit yourself to one sanctuary, you could have several depending on your mood and needs at the time you want to get away from it all. Or it could be one sanctuary where the seasons change the landscape around you.

The important thing is that you create a space where you feel calm and connected with yourself. A place where you can feel inner peace. A place where you can think and gain clarity. A place where you can go whenever you need to get away from it all. A place that is just yours.

inner sanctuary
inner sanctuary

Use this inner sanctuary at times of stress or anxiety. Use it whenever you feel overwhelmed by life and you need time alone. Use it when you need to make a decision or contemplate choices. Use it when you want to feel connected to yourself.

I love using my inner sanctuary to help me escape from the world and connect to myself.

I would love to hear about your experiences with your inner sanctuary.

Facing Procrastination

How many times have you procrastinated or put things off because you have dreaded doing them? Or just found that other things keep getting in the way and stopping you doing that one thing you must do today? In my experience whenever I have done  this, the thing I had to do has always been easier than I imagined it. Our imaginations are very good at creating the worst case scenario or making the task seem more difficult.

After the task is accomplished I often think that was easier than I though it would be. I’d imagined the task to be much more complicated, more time-consuming and to challenge me much more etc. The next time you find yourself putting something off, procrastinating or just outright avoiding doing something, ask yourself why?

Ask yourself if you have imagined it will take too long, be too complicated, cause you too much stress etc. Then do some gentle tapping to help you let go of these things your imagination is putting in the way of you completing your task.

Example tapping statements:

  • Even though I don’t have enough time to do this task, it’ll take way too long and demand too much of me, I accept my feelings anyway
  • Even though I’m procrastinating over this task, I choose to let go of all my worries and concerns about it
  • Even though I keep finding myself doing lots of other things instead of that one thing I know I really need to do, I accept myself anyway
  • Even though I know I really should do that task, I feel far too stressed to actually start it right now and I’m willing to accept all my feelings about this
  • Even though my imagination has made this task into a monster, I choose to go easy on myself and trust I can do it

Remember to tap using your own words whenever possible. Really tune in to how you feel and why you keep putting your tasks off. Keep tapping until you feel all your fears, worries, doubts etc have gone and you feel ready to do your task.

You can use your imagination to imagine your task is now really easy to complete. But always tap away any fears, doubts, worries and stress first.

Just Breathe

Many people report that when they are upset, worried, scared, anxious etc they hold their breath. This is not something we do consciously but we often become aware of it after a little while. What we are less aware of is when we do it without realising it. We very often breathe too shallowly anyway and again most people aren’t aware of doing it. So a good practice to take up is to do some deep breathing every day.

Pick something that you will remember easily such as checking your breathing every time you go to the bathroom or answer the phone. Then just spend a minute or two focusing on your breathing. Breathing in and out slowly and deeply through your nose. Whenever you notice your breathing throughout your day, choose to breathe slowly and deeply.

Make it a habit to check your breath regularly throughout your day. This is an easy way to reduce stress and anxiety and increase our energy levels.

It’s Too Painful

Have you ever felt too overwhelmed by your emotions? You feel like you can’t even admit to yourself that you have feelings about this situation because if you did they would all come flooding out and you just wouldn’t be able to cope.

When we feel this way we often stuff our emotions down because they feel too painful or overwhelming to deal with. But that can often lead to those feelings leaching out in other ways. Our shoulders become really tight and knotty, we have an ache in our stomach or we get bad headaches or migraines. This is our body’s way of telling us we need to deal with our feelings.

It can feel too scary to begin to address these feelings because we don’t want to feel out of control or overwhelmed by them. So firstly, please be very gentle with yourself.

You might find the following tapping helpful:

  • Even though it feels too painful to begin to deal with {this situation/these emotions}, I’m willing to be very gentle with myself
  • Even though I feel too overwhelmed by these emotions to begin dealing with them, I’m open to feeling safe and in control
  • Even though I can’t even admit to myself that I have these feelings, I’m willing to be kind and gentle with myself

Tap a few rounds of these type of statements until you feel calmer and more in control.  Then try:

  • Even though I know I’ve been suppressing all these emotions, I choose to be able to let them out slowly in a way I can handle
  • Even though my body has been holding these emotions for me, I choose to be able to calmly let them be heard now
  • Even though these emotions have felt too painful and I’ve been scared of being overwhelmed by them, I choose to allow them out in a safe way now

Once you feel calmer about being able to deal with the situation/emotions then you can start tapping on them. You don’t have to dive right in and start tapping on them straightaway. You can even start by using very generic tapping statements like:

  • Even though I have all these emotions, I accept myself and my feelings
  • Even though these emotions have been difficult to face, I’m ready to deal with them now

Keep tapping using these generic statements until you feel you are ready to be more specific and get into the emotions themselves. Remember you are in control and can stop anytime if they start to feel too painful or overwhelming. You can of course tap on the feelings being too overwhelming and painful again.

EFT can be very gentle if used in this way. EFT is not designed to help us tough it out and push us on when we don’t feel ready. It is there to help us feel we can deal with our emotions safely and at a rate we can handle.

Remember to keep breathing and drink plenty of water.

Keep tapping and be gentle with yourself.

Tapping Away Anxiety

Anxiety feels awful. You know that thinking about it makes it worse. You dread the anxiety escalating into a panic attack. You end up worrying about having anxiety or having a panic attack. Which in itself can bring on an attack!

Then you start to avoid certain situations and spend more time at home because it is easier than going through all that anxiety.  The anxiety or worrying about the anxiety is very draining. It literally wears you out and you feel exhausted. Life becomes less enjoyable.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Learning EFT can really help you take control of your life again. You can use EFT to relax and calm your mind and body. You can reduce your symptoms e.g. fast beating heart, sweating, churning or knotty stomach, feeling sick, feeling like you will pass out etc. You can work on the triggers of your anxiety. This part is key. Working with a Practitioner can help you get to the underlying cause of the anxiety.

Figuring out when it started, what was going on in your life then etc. We can work very gently with any traumatic memories from your past with the movie technique. Working on these past memories helps clear out this stuck energy. Your body can then learn that it is safe now and let these symptoms go.

Tapping every day, helps restore calm and puts you back in control. Here are some suggestions to get you started.

  • Even though I hate this anxiety and it feels so awful, I’m willing to accept myself anyway
  • Even though I hate feeling so sick because of this anxiety, I’m ok right now
  • Even though I can’t even go out for a meal without feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, I’m open to accepting myself anyway
  • Even though I shake like a leaf and my stomach churns in knots, every time I go out shopping, I love and accept myself anyway
  • Even though I worry about having a panic attack every time I have to go out and I feel so exhausted afterwards that I just want to lie down and go to sleep, I accept myself anyway

Tapping really can help as long as you are persistent and work on both your symptoms and the triggers that cause the anxiety. It is possible to enjoy life again and plan things that you avoided in the past.

Tapping For Dental Fears

Many people put off going to the Dentist because of their fear. But what if your dental health is being adversely affected? EFT can really help get rid of your fear and help you look after yourself better.

My partner recently had to have a wisdom tooth out & a filling on the same day. He managed to get through this experience thanks to EFT. He tapped before he went for his fear, the fact that he is normally white knuckled and breaks out into a sweat. He didn’t experience any of his normal symptoms and sailed through his appointment. Normally he is quite tired after going because he has been so wired, but this time he just felt calm before, during and afterwards. Even when a piece of his tooth shot out of his mouth he remained calm – what a fantastic result!

Dental Fears
Dental Fears

Many fears like this start in childhood so it can be useful to look for any disturbing memories and work through them using the movie technique. You can then tap being specific as possible, e.g. the smells, sounds (e.g. the drill, the suction tube), sights (e.g. the needle), feeling vulnerable (i.e. lying in the chair with your mouth open) etc. Keep tapping on all the different aspects and work on any specific symptoms you experience e.g. gripping the chair with white knuckles, breaking out into a sweat or churning stomach.

Below is a sample script to get you started. Write down your fear on a scale of 0 -10 before you start (10 being maximum fear).

Tap on the Karate Chop whilst repeating three times:

  • Even though I hate going to the dentist because it is so scary, it always hurts and I hate being vulnerable like that, I’m willing to accept myself anyway
  • Even though I’d rather never go to the Dentist ever again, I do hate having tooth ache and I accept myself anyway
  • Even though I’m so scared of the Dentist and hate the sound of the drill, I accept my feelings about this anyway

Eyebrow: I hate going to the Dentist
Side of Eye: Going to the Dentist is so scary
Under Eye: I don’t know what they’ll do to me
Under Nose: I hate lying there with my mouth wide open like that
Chin: The sound of the drill makes my heart beat so fast
Collarbone: And my body breaks out into a sweat
Under Arm: I have to grip the seat so tight
Top of Head: I’m so scared of having any work done

Eyebrow: In the waiting room, I’m anticipating the worst
Side of Eye: I start sweating and my stomach starts churning
Under Eye: I hate feeling so vulnerable lying in the chair
Under Nose: I don’t know what the Dentist is going to do to me
Chin: All that poking and prodding freaks me out
Collarbone: It hurts when the Dentist prods me like that
Under Arm: What if I need a filling
Top of Head: Injections and the drill freak me right out

Eyebrow: Maybe I can feel better about this
Side of Eye: What if I felt calmer in the chair
Under Eye: What if I trusted the Dentist
Under Nose: Maybe I can relax my body
Chin: Maybe I can breathe slowly and deeply
Collarbone: What if I remained calm
Under Arm: What if it was easier than I thought
Top of Head: Maybe it doesn’t have to be so bad

Remember to keep tapping on the different aspects of your fear. When you feel you have cleared them all, test by visualising yourself going to the Dentist. If it all feels ok and your body remains calm then great. If something comes up, it just means you just have more tapping to do. Try to imagine all possible scenarios to fully test this. If you find during your next visit to the Dentist, your fear still comes up then you can do some tapping right there to clear it. You can always use mental tapping or finger tapping if you don’t want other people to see you tapping.

Keep tapping!

Kids Leaving the Nest

Are your children about to leave the nest? Are you questioning who you will be now that your children are leaving home? The Mother role is diminishing and it can make you re-evaluate who you are, who you want to be and what you want to do with your life. Maybe you haven’t worked or only worked limited hours when your children have been at home and you are now considering whether to go back to work or work longer hours. Or maybe you’re considering re-training for a new career.

If that sounds like you, then you might like to tune in to your body and see what messages it is trying to tell you. Do you feel tension or tightness anywhere? Notice what is going on in your body and ask it if it has a message for you.

Here is a script you can use to help you during this transitional time.

Tap on the Karate Chop whilst repeating three times:

  • Even though I hate change and I still want to be a Mom to my kids, I’m willing to accept myself anyway
  • Even though part of me doesn’t want my kids to leave, I don’t know who I’ll be when they are gone, I’m open to accepting myself anyway
  • Even though I’ve been needed for so long, now it feels like my kids don’t need me anymore and I don’t know how to handle that, I accept my feelings about this anyway

Eyebrow: I hate change
Side of Eye: Change is scary
Under Eye: I don’t know who I’ll be when my kids leave home
Under Nose: I’ve been a Mum for so long
Chin: I don’t know what I’ll do when my kids leave
Collarbone: I like to be needed
Under Arm: Part of me doesn’t want them to leave
Top of Head: What will I do when they leave home

Eyebrow: I feel this worry in my shoulder
Side of Eye: My shoulder is frozen in fear and worry
Under Eye: Who will I be when they leave?
Under Nose: This is so hard
Chin: I don’t know how to handle them leaving
Collarbone: How will I handle having all this extra time
Under Arm: I’m frozen in fear of this change
Top of Head: I’m not sure what I’ll do with my life now

Eyebrow: I’m open to feeling different about this
Side of Eye: What if I could feel excited about the opportunities I have
Under Eye: Maybe I can feel less scared and worried
Under Nose: I’m open to finding this easier
Chin: What if I could see this as an opportunity for me
Collarbone: Maybe I’ll enjoy the extra time I’ll have
Under Arm: What if I found it easier to handle this situation
Top of Head: I’m open to letting it be easy to let my kids go

Use your words where appropriate to really tune in to how you feel. Keep tapping until you no longer feel so scared or worried. I’d love to hear your feedback, so please leave a comment.

Keep tapping!

It is that busy time of year again! There is always lots to do – presents to buy and wrap, food to prepare, parties to attend, work to complete, family to visit etc. We can feel like we are being pulled in all different directions and like there is not enough hours in the day! We often feel overwhelmed and stressed and can get so caught up in the material things that we forget the spirit of Christmas (and I’m not talking about the alcoholic variety).

So take some time out, sit down for a few minutes and do some tapping. Here is a tapping script that can help you.  Write down your score on a scale of 0 – 10 first (where 10 is maximum stress/overwhelm etc).

Setup:
Tap on the Karate Chop whilst repeating three times:

  • Even though I’m so stressed about Christmas and everything I have to do, I still deeply and completely accept myself
  • Even though I still have loads of shopping to do, I deeply and completely accept myself anyway
  • Even though I feel overwhelmed by my to-do list, I love and accept myself anyway

Eyebrow: I’m stressed about Christmas
Side of Eye: I’m so overwhelmed by my to-do list
Under Eye: I’ve got way too much to do
Under Nose: And not enough hours in the day
Chin: I’ll never get it all done
Collarbone: Why didn’t I start earlier?
Under Arm: I always leave it to the last minute
Top of Head: It’s always a rush and panic at the end

Eyebrow: I wish I could plan things better
Side of Eye: Why do I have to do everything anyway?
Under Eye: I feel so stressed, I’ve got so much to do
Under Nose: I don’t have the time to buy all the presents,
Chin: all the food, prepare the house, do the wrapping
Collarbone: It’s all too much for me to do
Under Arm: I hate feeling so stressed about Christmas
Top of Head: I can’t enjoy myself because I’ve got too much to do

Eyebrow: I’m open to thinking about this differently
Side of Eye: What if could prioritise my to-do list
Under Eye: Maybe I can get some help off my family
Under Nose: Maybe I can take some time out to prioritise
Chin: What if I can feel calmer about my to-do list
Collarbone: Maybe I can get it all done if my family helps me
Under Arm: What if I enjoyed getting some help
Top of Head: I’m open to enjoying myself as I do all these things

Use your words where appropriate to really tune in to how you feel. Keep tapping until you feel calmer and more centered.

EFT is always there for us right at our fingertips, ready to help us when we need it. Remember that you need to look after yourself this Christmas. Making some time every day (even for 5 minutes) will help you stay calm and able to cope with all the extra things you need to do at this busy time of year.

Happy Christmas and keep on tapping!

How To Handle Change

One thing that is guaranteed in this world is change.  Sometimes it’s a change that we want and welcome.  Other times we have changes forced upon us and we fight them.  Even when it’s a change we want, we can experience resistance and negative emotions.  How do we deal with all of that?  EFT is there for us as usual, right at our fingertips.  Here’s a tapping script that you might find useful to help you cope with change.

Tap on the Karate Chop spot on either hand whilst repeating out loud these 3 setups (or change the words to suit your situation):

  • Even though this change feels so hard and uncomfortable, I deeply and completely accept myself anyway
  • Even though I didn’t want this change and I don’t want to have to deal with it, I deeply and completely accept who I am and how I feel
  • Even though this change feels so difficult and I want things to stay the way they are, I choose to accept who I am and how I feel

Eyebrow: This change is so difficult and uncomfortable
Side of eye: I’m so upset by this change
Under eye: I don’t want this change
Under nose: I didn’t choose this change
Chin: Changes never work out for me
Collarbone: I’m so resistant to this change
Under arm: I wish this change didn’t have to happen
Top of head: Why can’t things stay the same?

Repeat the above several times or change the words to suit how you feel, until you feel a reduction in the intensity. If you feel ready you can tap on these statements which focus on the solution:

Eyebrow: Maybe this change will be easier
Side of eye: Maybe this time the change is for the best
Under eye: What if this time it’ll be easier
Under nose: What if things work out ok for me this time
Chin: What if things go my way
Collarbone: What if it turns out even better than I expected
Under arm: What if it does work out for me
Top of head: What if this change turns out to be the best thing that ever happened to me

Repeat the tapping as necessary and use your own words where appropriate.  Tap on the specific changes that are happening in your life and how you feel about them, until you feel calmer and able to handle the situation.

Keep tapping!

Even though I’m worried of having a panic attack and not being able to handle it I choose to know I can get through it and feel normal again quickly

Even though I can’t handle having a panic attack and just want to take a tablet and go to bed to sleep it off, I choose to know it will pass and I can get through it

Even though I hate the feeling in my legs when I’m feeling anxious and having a panic attack I choose to get through it quickly and feel calm and normal again easily and quickly

Eyebrow: I worry I’ll have a panic attack

Side of Eye: I hate having these panic attacks

Under Eye: I wish I didn’t have these panic attacks

Under Nose: I hate feeling anxious

Chin: I can’t stand my legs feeling like jelly

Collarbone: I want to take a tablet and sleep it off when it starts

Under Arm: I just want to get away from these feelings

Crown of head: I just want it to be over

Now tap on the positives:

Eyebrow: I choose to be able to handle these strange feelings

Side of Eye: I know I’m ok even though I feel like this

Under Eye: I can get through this easily

Under Nose: My legs will feel normal again quickly

Chin: I know these feelings will pass quickly

Collarbone: It’ll all be over soon and I’m ok anyway

Under Arm: I choose to be able to handle these panic attacks

Crown of head: I can get through these panic attacks easily and quickly
